The preliminary meeting for entrants in the Lee Wade II Prize Speaking contest will be held on Wednesday evening, March 20, instead of today, as was formerly announced. The place has not yet been decided upon, but will be announced tomorrow.
All men who are candidates for the Lee Wade Prize are to attend these trials, and the final speakers will then be chosen by an elimination process. The contestants who succeed in surviving the preliminaries will meet in the final competition in Sanders Theatre on Wednesday evening, March 27. Each speaker will deliver the same selection, a portion of "The Defence of Blenner-hassett," by William Wirt. The three prizes are of $25, $15 and $10, respectively.
