University and Freshman oarsmen completed their first week of training in the tank yesterday with the seating of the upper crews considerably changed from the original division on the first day of practice. J. Harrison, Jr., '20 has been moved up from the second crew to replace F. B. Whitman '19 at seven in the first boat, while the latter is now rowing in Harrison's place on Crew B. Several shifts have also been made in the first Freshman boat. R. M. Sedgwick and J. Sise, formerly at two and six, respectively, have been changed about. S. Wadsworth, who earlier in the week had been advanced from the second shell to displace R. E. Bronson at seven, rowed yesterday at three, while S. Damon, who had been on that seat, was shifted to Wadsworth's place in the stern.
Sixteen Crews Now Out.
The two crew squads have appreciably increased in numbers during the past week, there now being 16 full crews at work in the tank and on the machines. Coach Haines has charge of the first three University and first four 1921 boats in the tank, while Coach Brown supervises the remaining crews in their workouts on the machines at the Locker Building. From now on, Graduate Coach Arthur E. Beane '11 will be on hand regularly to assist Coach Haines, and will have supervision of the Freshman squad as in former years.
