MEN TRYING FOR FIELDING POSITIONS OUT WEDNESDAY

Both University and Freshman baseball will come into full sway this week when the fielding candidates report to Coach Duffy on Wednesday afternoon in the cage. Although Coach Duffy has expressed himself as well satisfied with the battery material so far offered, no accurate estimate of the team may be made until the fielders are called out.

To date, 14 University and 12 Freshman battery candidates reported for practice. S. H. Johnson '20, the leading pitcher on the Freshman team last year, which was disbanded on account of the war, has been showing up very well and is likely to be the University's mainstay in the box in the coming season. P. Zach '19, W. G. Swigert '20 and T. H. Gammack '20 are the best men behind the plate.

Of the Freshman pitchers, F. L. A. Cady, A. G. Callaghan and A. H. Geary have been showing up well, and C. F. Havemeyer and J. M. Weeks, who were behind the bat for Groton and Milton Academy, respectively, last season, are promising catchers. It seems probable that the fielding material will promise a strong 1921 team.
