During the next half-year the Lampoon will hold two competitions for positions on the literary and business staffs of the magazine. Aspirants for the business department will be called out on Thursday, February 14, at 7 o'clock, and candidates for positions on the drawing and writing staff will start the following evening. Full details of the competition will be announced to prospective editors at the meetings on Thursday and Friday evenings in the Lampoon Building. Sophomores and Freshmen are eligible to compete in these competitions.
In general, the candidates for the business department will be asked to solicit advertisements and subscriptions. A limited amount of office work will also be required. Those who compete for positions on the literary and drawing staff will be expected to submit articles and sketches suitable for publication. Each competition will continue for 12 weeks.
The Lampoon announces that lack or previous experience will not be a handicap in either of the competitions.
