Brigadier-General M. Churchill, who sailed Tuesday for France as a member of the staff of Major-General Bliss, is a member of the class of 1900. He joined the army shortly after graduation and received his appointment to West Point after a few years of service. He was stationed at Fort Sill as a lieutenant and in 1914 was sent over to France as captain of a special detail. Here, he received his major's commission and about a year ago was raised to the rank of brigadier-general and ordered back to Washington to a position in the Intelligence Department. He was one of those chosen to accompany the military staff which represents the United States at the Peace Conference.
