The A. A. U. recently announced the cross-country track meet to be held at Franklin Field on November 23, at 10.30 A. M. This will consist of a six-mile race, in which college military teams of eight men or less will compete for a prize awarded by the A. A. U. The University will probably be represented in this, but so far only ten men have responded to the call for track candidates. Coach Donovan, however, has been giving them some stiff training in the past few days. Several of the men are experienced runners and a team is developing rapidly.
More candidates are needed, in view of the coming meet. Men desiring to come out for the team should report to Coach Donovan any afternoon at Soldiers Field.
