W. S. Ely '17 Killed in France

A report was received from General Pershing yesterday that Lieutenant William S. Ely '17, of Rochester, N. Y., has been killed in France while flying in the American aviation service. The death of Lieutenant Ely was the result of an airplane accident, no details of which have been announced.

Lieutenant Ely prepared for college at St. George's School and entered the University in the Class of 1917. After receiving the degree of A.B., he left before his Senior year. While in College, Ely rowed on his Freshman crew.
