8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
Great extension of military training in universities and colleges is expected if the new bill in the Administration program of Army legislation, introduced in the Senate Tuesday, becomes law.
The bill has been introduced by Chairman Chamberlain of the Senate Military Committee at Secretary of War Baker's request, and will have an extensive scope over practically all colleges and universities in the country. The measure would authorize detail of officers and enlisted men, active as well as retired, as military instructors at educational institutions having boys 14 years or over in units of 100 or more.
Arms and other equipment will be furnished by the Government if favorable action is taken on the bill, about 100 institutions having applied for instructors and equipment already.
