ILLUSTRATED COMPETITION OPENS

Pictorial Will Occupy More Commodious Quarters This Winter.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The annual business competition of the Illustrated will begin tonight when candidates will be called out at Randolph 58 at 7 o'clock. This competition is open to all members of the Sophomore and Freshman classes and will consist mainly in soliciting advertisements and subscriptions with a small amount of clerical work. No previous experience is necessary. The length of the competition will be approximately 12 weeks and it is expected that at least three of the candidates will be taken on the board if their work warrants it.

The Illustrated has moved this year to new and larger quarters at 1246 Massachusetts avenue and the paper will be published from there. A new policy will be instituted in the management of the publication according to which each number will be more wholly pictorial than in previous years. It is planned to issue 16 numbers during the winter as was done in 1916-17.
