ELI NAVAL UNIT TO CRUISE

Two-Months' Course on Yacht to Fit Men for Commission in Navy or Merchant Marine.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Twenty Yale men will be taken on a naval training cruise this summer on board the Ansantawie, the 114-foot yacht belonging to Mr. Wilson Marshall, of Bridgeport, Conn.

The Ansantawie, formerly used as a scout cruiser by the Cuban Government, has been loaned to the Yale Naval Training Unit for the summer. All members of the university are eligible for the cruise, preference being given to men who are now enrolled in the Naval Training Unit. No previous training is necessary, however.

Leaving about the first of July, the ship will cruise from the Maine coast to the West Indies. A large part of the time will be spent on the open seas. The vessel will return after about two months. The captain and engineer will be on board to assist the crew composed of Yale men in the management of the yacht.

The training received on this cruise will fit men for commissions in the Navy or in the merchant marine when they become of age.
