MORE, MEN WANTED IN BATTERY A

Armory Will be Open Every Night This Week for Enlistments

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Battery A. of the first field artillery division of the Massachusetts National Guard has issued a call for more volunteers. This organization has always been well represented by members of the University, and quite a number of undergraduates are already included in its membership. Inasmuch as the Massachusetts National Guard is at present scheduled to be called into active service on the 25th of next month, a campaign is being waged to recruit all branches up to war strength.

Men who enlist now will be given private instruction the first few days, in the nomenclature of the various pieces of artillery, after which sighting exercises will begin.

The headquarters of the Battery at the Commonwealth Armory in Boston will be open every night this week for physical examinations and enlistments. No recruits will be admitted after this week and the age limit is 18 years. Additional information can be obtained from 1st Sergeant T. L. Storer '18 in Apthorp 10 or from Corporal Bruce Lancaster '18 in Westmorly 126.
