THREE UNIVERSITY AVIATORS SAIL

Of the eight Americans who sailed for France last Saturday to join the Lafayette Flying Corps three are graduates of the University. Two others are Princeton alumni, and the remaining three hold prominent positions in Washington, Salt Lake City, and New York. The eight men were selected from over 100 applicants who were seeking the opportunity to fly for France.

The University trio is composed of William Henry Meeker '17, of New York, N. Y., formerly president of the CRIMSON; Vernon Booth, Jr., '13, also of New York, N. Y., who has left a law practice to take part in the expedition; and Samuel W. Wiggins '15, of Cincinnati, Ohio, who was previously a member of a prominent banking firm of that city.

On arriving in Paris the aviators will report to Dr. E. L. Gros, the director of the corps, to whom they will present their credentials. After receiving further examination and training with French machines, they will go to the front with Lieutenant Thaw, who is in charge of their division, and Adjutant Raoul Lufberry.
