The list of rooms in dormitories owned by the University which will be available for the year 1917-18 has been announced by the Bursar. Applications may be made at any time now. In the case of suites with two bedrooms, preference will be given to applications signed by two men who will room together. If two students, neither of whom has a room, standing in his name for 1917-18, intend to occupy a room together and both sign one application, this application will be given two chances in the allotment and whatever room is drawn will be assigned to the two applicants. But if in any case one of two applicants to whom a room has been assigned does not register and join his class before September 27, or does not occupy the room through the year, the Bursar may cancel the assignment and assign the rooms by lot to other applicants.

In the assignment of rooms in Thayer and Matthews, preference will be given to the Class of 1918. Other persons may apply for Thayer and Matthews rooms, however, and their applications will be considered after those of members of 1918 have been satisfied. Persons holding rooms in those halls for the academic year 1917-18 will not have the right to re-engage them for 1918-19 if the rooms are wanted for that year by members of the Class of 1919.

Applications from students who do not have bonds in the sum of $400 on file with the Bursar, or from persons who are not connected with the University, will not be considered unless the required bonds are filed at the Bursar's Office on or before May 2, 1917.

Students are advised to apply for all the rooms on the list which they are willing to take, placing them in the order of preference. Plans of all the dormitories may be seen at the Bursar's Office any week day between 9 and 1 o'clock, or will be mailed on request.
