TEAM A WON 10 TO 6 CONTEST

In the regular practice game yesterday, Team A reversed Tuesday's verdict, when the substitutes secured a 4 to 1 victory by defeating Team B by a score of 10 to 6 in a contest replete with both errors and hits. Both teams suffered from the absence of several players and gave a somewhat listless exhibition. Captain Abbot officiated as umpire and Casey and Murray were unable to report, but will be back for today's workout. Phinney, who has been substituting with Murray at third base, was not on the field, and may leave the squad permanently in order to join the Naval Reserve. Yesterday's game was marked by some hard-hitting, Bond, who has been leading the squad at the bat, having an especially brilliant day with the stick, with three timely singles to his credit. Bothfeld and Burrill were each credited with a single and a double, and Ellis, McLeod and Reed also contributed to the day's total of hits, each driving out two singles. The fielding of both teams was almost constantly ragged, as opposed to the batting.
