Jacques Copeau, director of the experimental Theatre du Vieux Colombier of Paris, will speak at the invitation of the 47 Workshop in Harvard 1 this evening at 8 o'clock. This lecture, which will be given in French, is open to the public.
M. Copeau is one of the leaders in France of the experimental drama which is aimed to abolish the spirit of commercialism existing in the French theatre. The lecture will describe M. Copeau's work in this drama. M. Copean has recently returned from New York where he has been giving six conferences on his work, at the Little Theatre.
