Preliminaries for the wrestling and for the annual boxing tournament begin this afternoon in the Gymnasium at 3 o'clock. Drawings for the bouts will be made at the Gymnasium this afternoon. In the wrestling tournament six pounds overweight will be allowed each man in the preliminaries due to the short time given for entries, but for the finals tomorrow night only four pounds is to be allowed. For the boxing, two pounds overweight will be allowed in both the preliminaries and finals. Participants who have not done so already are to weigh in before the bouts, and wrestlers who are going to compete in the finals will weigh in again tomorrow before 3 o'clock. There are 29 men taking part in the boxing and about an equal number in the wrestling bouts.

Preliminaries in all the classes, down to the finals, will be staged this afternoon. The boxing will be held in the basketball cage, and as a company will also be drilling downstairs, there will not be much room for spectators. Three two-minute rounds will be fought in each boxing bout, and in case of a draw, extra two-minute rounds will be fought until the referee renders a decision. A one-minute rest between rounds is to be allowed.

The wrestling will be staged upstairs. The bouts are to be nine minutes long, and in case of a draw there will be two extra periods of three minutes each.

Men who have to drill this afternoon will report to L. H. Bevier '17 promptly at 3 o'clock, and the time of their bouts will be arranged. The preliminaries are open to members of the University, but the finals in the Union tomorrow night will be open only to members of the Union.
