The University has entered only two men in the big A. A. U. meet to be held in the 22d Regiment Armory, New York City, Saturday night. They are Captain E. A. Teschner '17 in the 50 and 300-yard events, and W. H. Meanix '19 in the hurdles and the 600-yard run. W. Willcox '17 will not enter the meet. In the A. A. U. games last year, W. H. Meanix '19, running for the B. A. A., took third place in the 300-yard race. Captain Teschner did not compete last year.
For the first time in the history of A. A. U. indoor championships there is a chance that the athletes from the West will carry off the honors. Entries for the meet closed Saturday night, and the list is the largest and most representative ever received for an indoor championship meeting. Yale, Princeton, Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, Chicago, Columbia, Holy Cross, M. I. T., and many others have entered the best of their runners.
Captain Overton of Yale will defend his title in the 1,000-yard race.
