Although the 80 applications which were made by members of the University for training in the Aviation Section of the Signal Officers' Reserve Corps have already been sent to Washington, it is still possible for further individuals to make applications. Anyone wishing to apply can obtain the blank and any desired information by calling at 42 Water street, Boston. It is essential that such applications should be made as soon as possible.
The periods of training will probably be so arranged that some may begin in July and that those who so desire will not have to begin until August. It is certain that in case there is no war the men can get back in time for the opening of the University.
The physical examinations for the men who have already applied will take place some time in June or, in case of war, sooner. Roger Amory '10 is now trying to put through arrangements for having the physical examiners located in or near Boston. The five members of the University who have already left for training in aviation are now at Miami, Fla. Several of the aeroplane which are to be used by them were damaged in shipping, and as a result the training in the actual flying has been somewhat delayed.
