Harvard Students To Vote on Divestment From Israel in Inaugural HUA Election Survey

CHURCH 1920 PRESIDENT

375 BALLOTS CAST

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The election of Freshman officers was held in Standish Hall yesterday and resulted as follows:

President, Frederic Cameron Church, Jr., of Lowell.

Vice-president: Norman Stewart Walker, Jr., of Castleton, L. I., N. Y.

Secretary-treasurer: Frederic Keil Bullard, of Revere.

Representative to the Student Council: Augustus Aspinwall, of Chestnut Hill.

The voting for president and vice-president was done by the preferential system, each voter indicating his order of preference for all the candidates for each office, a first choice counting one, a second choice two, etc. The candidate receiving the lowest numerical total thereby being elected. As there were six candidates for the office of secretary-treasurer and four for representative on the Student Council, this system was not used, and the man receiving the highest number of first choices was declared elected. The number of men that voted was 375.

The following table is an accurate analysis of the vote for each candidate:
