In view of the fact that competitions for positions in extra curriculum activities have recently been the cause of low scholastic standing of the competitors, the Yale Student Council and college faculty have passed a resolution to the effect that no man shall be elected to such positions without the approval of the dean's office. The resolution includes such positions as publication boards, the Student Council, managerships, dramatic and musical association officers, many committees, and all class offices.
The Faculty voted that the dean appoint a committee of five for the administration of the college rules.
