GYMNASTIC TEAM LOST TO BROWN

Score 28 to 26 in Close Match Decided by Loss of Final Event.

The University gymnastic team was defeated by Brown in the Hemenway Gymnasium Saturday night by the close score of 28 to 26. The University led until the tumbling, the last event on the program, was decided. M. W. Blanchard '18 was not up to his usual form in this event, failing to secure first place, and the meet was decided in favor of Brown.

Captain D. Campbell '17 was the star of the meet, capturing first place in the high bar and parallel bars with ease, and placing second in the side horse and flying rings. Paige starred for Brown, with firsts in the side horse and tumbling to his credit.

High bar: Won by D. Campbell '17; second, J. M. French '17; third Roberts (B).

Side horse: Won by Paige (B); second, D. Campbell '17; third, H. R. Griffiths '19.

Club swinging: Won by Finch (B); second, Pierce (B); third, Prigge (B).

Parallel bars: Won by Campbell '17; second, J. M. French '17; third, Jencks (B).

Flying rings: Won by Luther (B); second, D. Campbell '17; third, Roberts (B).

Tumbling: Won by Paige (B); second, M. W. Blanchard '18; third, Larkin (B).
