SWIMMING TEAM TO MEET BROWN

University Journeys to Providence For Third Match of Season.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University swimming team will have as its opponent Brown, at Providence, R. I., tonight in the third meet of the season. The team will be greatly strengthened by the return of Captain H. Wentworth '17, whose absence largely accounted for the team's defeats in former meets.

Captain Wentworth and R. E. Jackson '19, who has improved greatly the past week, swimming the 220-yard in the fast time of two minutes and 50 seconds in practice, are the University's chief entries in the sprints. In M. B. Blanchard '18 the team has a probable winner of the dive, and a fast relay team in Wentworth, Jackson, C. U. Shreve '19 and S. J. Rogers '17. The team is handicapped by the lack of a first class plunger.

The University's entries follow:

Relay: R. E. Jackson '19, S. J. Rogers '17, C. U. Shreve '19 and H. Wentworth '17.

50-yard dash: R. E. Jackson '19, C. U. Shreve '19.

100-yard swim: R. E. Jackson '19, H. Wentworth '17.

220-yard swim: R. E. Jackson '19, S. J. Rogers '17.

Dive: M. B. Blanchard '18, B. McNear '19.

Plunge: S. H. Wirt '19.
