The final debating trials held in the New Lecture Hall Saturday afternoon and evening resulted in the award of the Coolidge Debating Prize of $100 to J. H. Spitz '17, of Brookline, for the best work done throughout the trials. Spitz was alternate on the team two years ago and a regular last year. He is president of the Delta Sigma Rho, an honorary debating society. The five men picked to make up the University debating team with him are: A. G. Aldis '17, of Lake Forest, Ill.; J. Davis '19, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; L. Dennis '19, of Washington, D. C.; C. E. Fraser '18, of Champaign, Ill.; and W. L. Prosser '18, of Minneapolis, Minn. The alternates chosen are: L. Brentano '18, of Orange, N. J.; A. R. Ginsburgh '17, of Wilkes Barre, Pa.; and W. Hettleman '19, of Baltimore Md. These men will compose the two University teams which will meet Yale and Princeton in the triangular debate on March 23.
