ILLUSTRATED CALLS CANDIDATES

Second Opportunity Offered on Business and News-Editorial Board.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The spring competitions for the board of the Illustrated will begin this evening at 7 o'clock when all candidates will report at the office on Massachusetts avenue. The competitions will be held in the news, photographic, art, and business departments and are open to all members of the classes of 1919 and 1920. No previous experience in any branch is necessary and there are many positions now open.

The revival of a special competition for the art department will be a feature of the work this spring. The men in this department will design the covers and make up the picture pages and will occasionally be called upon to draw a serious cartoon. The photographic department will take the largest number of men, as the various special numbers during the second half-year will call for more pictures.
