Students who are leaving Cambridge for the Christmas recess are reminded that books whose period of loan expires during the vacation period should be returned during the week or arrangement made for their renewal.

During the recess, the Widener Library will close at 5.30 o'clock. The Lower Reading Room will be open from 9 to 1 o'clock only, and books may be taken out at 12 o'clock to be returned at 9 o'clock the next day. The libraries on the third floor will be open from 9 to 5 o'clock on week-days and on Saturdays from 9 to 12 o'clock.

On Christmas Day and on Sundays December 23 and 30, the entire Library will be closed. On New Year's Day the general reading room and the Farnsworth Room will be open, but the delivery desk will be closed as on other holidays.
