MARINE AND NAVY TEAMS TO MEET ON SATURDAY

BERRY TO JOIN ELEVEN

In the Stadium on Saturday two service teams representing the Boston Navy Yard and the Marines at Philadelphia will clash in one of the championship intersectional service games of the East. Both teams contain University players. E. W. Mahan '16, captain of the University eleven which defeated Yale 41 to 0, is the leader of the Philadelphia squad. The Navy Yard team, which has been in action in the Stadium, contains several University players, although Adams of Brown is the captain.

Several times reports have been published that Mahan would not appear in the lineup of the Marines. All these reports, however, have been emphatically denied, and it is certain that he will lead his men against the sailors. The Marine eleven will be greatly strengthened by the addition, after the Pennsylvania Cornell encounter Thanksgiving Day, of Howard Berry, star back on the Pennsylvania team, and the world's pentathlon champion, and of Bell, quarterback on the same eleven.

The Boston sailors yesterday had the usual light workout following a game. No new players reported, but it is probable that there will be shifts in the make-up of the team before the end of the week. Butler is likely to shift from centre to end, thereby allowing Coach Leary to use A. Horween '20 in the line at centre.

On Thanksgiving morning at Braves Field the Camp Devens eleven, whose roster is nearly filled with former University stars, will meet the Naval Reserves from Newport, who are led by C. R. Black, captain at Yale last season.
