An informal gathering and Thanksgiving celebration for all men who are not leaving Cambridge will be held in Phillips Brooks House next Thursday afternoon and evening. The company will gather before an open fire and a program of music and reading will be given. Complete plans for the entertainment have not been made, but will be announced as soon as all arrangements have been completed.
Thanksgiving Day will be a holiday in all departments of the University. The Widener Library will be closed, and all books taken from the reading room on Wednesday evening will be returned on Friday morning. Breakfast will be served at the Union between the hours of 8 and 10 o'clock. There will be a special Thanksgiving dinner from 12.30 to 2.30 o'clock, for which there will be an extra charge. The Freshman Dining Halls will serve breakfast only, but dinner will be served in Smith Hall for the members of all the dormitories. There will be no evening meals at any of the Freshman Halls.
