Official announcement has just been made that by the will of the late Richard Platt Sewell, of Boston, a large residue of his estate has been left to be divided equally between the University and Yale. It is expected that each institution will receive about $200,000. The gift, which is without conditions, is particularly interesting, as Mr. Sewell was not a graduate of either college.
