THAYER AND ELIOT CREWS PICKED.

Eight Freshman Crews are Now Rowing Daily on Charles.

The number of crews rowing from the Newell Boathouse has been increased to eight Freshmen and four University boats. F. B. Whitman '19 and F. Parkman '19 chose from the upperclass oarsmen two crews which will be known as the Eliot and Thayer Club crews and which rowed in the following order yesterday afternoon:

Eliot crew: Stroke, D. B. Hull '19; 7, P. M. Cabot '18; 6, C. F. Batchelder '20; 5, F. Parkman '19, captain; 4, C. Canfield '19; 3, A. Fisher '15; 2, G. C. Noyes '20; bow, G. H. Hood, Jr., '20.

Thayer crew: Stroke, F. Whitman '19, captain; 7, T. H. Fisher '18; 6, R. Saltonstall '20; 5, D. C. Withington '20; 4, J. H. Peters '20; 3, C. H. Watson '20; 2, C. Mellen '20; bow, I. S. Randall '20. These crews will compete for a cup and for individual medals for the members of the winning eight in the fall regatta.
