CONVENTION WELL ATTENDED

Delegates from Ten Different Countries Present.--University Sent Two Men as Representatives.

Over 25 delegates attended the tenth annual convention of the Association of Cosmopolitan Clubs which was held in New Haven on December 27, 28, 29, 30, under the auspices of the Yale chapter. The following 12 colleges sent representatives:

Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Illinois, Iowa State, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Minnesota, Oberlin, Purdue, Syracuse, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Yale. Dr. A. E. Phoutrides '11 and K. W. L. Sanders Sp. represented the University. In all, there were men from ten different countries present: Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Germany, Greece, India, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland and the United States.

The following was the schedule of events:

December 27.

7.30.--Reception of welcome, Sampson Lyceum. Speakers: Hon. F. J. Rice, mayor of New Haven; Professor G. H. Nettleton, of Yale; President A. T. Hadley, of Yale, and D. L. Jacobus. M. S. Mandell, president of the Association, presided. B. E. Dirks 1S.A., gave the response. Concert: Mrs. Nancy Goodyear Andrews, Mr. J. N. Sanford, Miss Charlotte Beebe, Mr. R. P. Freemantle and Mr. A. J. Bowen, soloists.

December 28.

9.00--Directors' meeting. Applications for new membership received.

10.--Reports of president, committees and chapters.

12.15--Convention picture.

2.00--Further reports of committees.

4.15--Russian tea at home of Mrs. E. E. Norton.

8.00--Discussion: "The Cosmopolitan Movement," by Dr. G. W. Naysmith; "The Future of Russia," by Professor Alexander Petrunkevitch.

December 29.

9.00--Oberlin elected executive chapter and given convention next December. Vice-presidential chapters elected.

5.30--Annual banquet at Hotel Bishop, Yale Cosmopolitan Club, host.

8.00--Discussion: "Our World Relations," ex-President William Howard Taft.

December 30.

10.30--Tour of New Haven.

12.30--Lunch at Hotel Taft, New Haven Chamber of Commerce, host.
