The 1920 hockey team will go to South-borough this afternoon to meet the St. Marks School seven. On the basis of the past records of the two squads, the Freshmen will have a slight advantage in this afternoon's encounter, for they have won two games and lost one, while their opponents have won two and lost the same number. St. Marks, however, piled up the large total of 18 goals against Cambridge Latin, and has since shown additional scoring power.
The Freshmen have been handicapped by poor ice this week, but in spite of this disadvantage have been steadily improving under the direction of Coach D. Duncan '17. E. Cabot has shown up especially well, and is a steady, aggressive player and an accurate shot. He and Captain Walker are the strong points of the 1920 line. F. C. Church is a reliable point and carries the puck brilliantly into the opponents' territory, and is well supported by J. Stubbs at coverpoint. W. J. Louderback has shown good form in the goal, but has not played a generally consistent game.
Interdormitory Games Yesterday.
Two interdormitory games were played yesterday afternoon, in both of which Gore was defeated, first by Smith, 4 to 1, and later by Standish, 3 to 0. There was naturally little combination play on any of the teams, but P. C. Newton, J. A. Burden, and H. L. Tibbetts played good individual games for Smith, Gore, and Standish respectively. The dormitory series will be continued throughout the week.
