Hadley in Plunge Only Freshman Swimmer to Win a First Place.

The Worcester Academy swimming team defeated the Freshmen 41 to 12 in the Worcester tank on Saturday afternoon. They took every first place except the plunge which was won by R. Hadley '20 with a distance of 58 feet 10 inches.

The Freshmen made a strong attempt to win the relay, but the Worcester team took the lead at the start and held it all the way through. The summary follows:

Fifty-yard swim: Won by Milroy, Worcester; second, Worcester '20;-third, Tilton '20. Time: 28s.

One hundred-yard swim: Won by R. Heywood, Worcester; second, E. Heywood, Worcester; third, Stone '20. Time: 1m. 6s.

Two hundred and twenty-yard swim: Won by Elsworth, Worcester; second, Smith, Worcester; third, Lippitt '20. Time: 3m. 2s.

Diving: Won by Small, Worcester; second, Shuttleworth, Worcester; third, Tilton '20.

Plunge: Won by Hadley '20, 58ft. 10in.; second, Treat, Worcester, 55ft. 10 in.; third, Lightfoot, Worcester, 53ft. 7in.

Relay: Won by Worcester (R. Heywood, E. Heywood, MacCall, Milroy); second, 1920 (Ashton, Workum, Tilton, Worcester). Time: 1m. 53 2-5s.
