The University winter track season will officially open on Saturday, January 27, when the long and short distance relay teams will run at the Coast Artillery meet, Boston. The next meet in which the teams will compete will be the annual B. A. A., which will be held as usual in the Mechanics Building on Saturday, February 3. The triangular meet between the Pennsylvania, Dartmouth and University teams, which is an innovation this year, will take place on Saturday, February 17. On the following Wednesday, February 21, the relay teams will make a trip to Hartford, Conn., where they will run in the Connecticut Regimental Armory meet. It has not been definitely decided yet whether or not there will be any B. A. A. Schoolboy Meet, but if so, it will take place Saturday, February 24. The Indoor I. C. A. A. A. A. in which both the short and long distance relay teams will run, is scheduled to be run off in Philadelphia, March 3. The team will conclude its winter's season when it competes in the Meadowbrook Athletic Meet which will take place the following Saturday, March 10.
Special interest is centered in the I. C. A. A. A. A. Meet, which was decided, at a special meeting of the Advisory and Executive Committees, to be held in the Commercial Museum in Philadelphia, Pa. The Executive Committee also took action on the idea of a race for college graduates, ultimately deciding in favor of such. Many track stars of former years will be seen in action once more in this event. The Committee ruled that the teams for this special event shall be composed of four men each, the first three running two laps apiece and the fourth four laps.
