Dean Pound and Joseph Choate Tendered Degrees by Other Colleges.

Dean Roscoe Pound, of the Law School, was given the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws by the University of Chicago at its graduation exercise on Tuesday. In all 739 degrees were conferred.

Joseph Hodges Choate '52, of New York, N. Y., former ambassador to Great Britain, was yesterday awarded the degree of master of arts by Columbia University. In all a total of 2195 degrees were awarded, as follows: Columbia College,  176 Barnard College,  117 School of Law,  136 School of Medicine,  73 Graduate Schools of Engineering,  132 School of Architecture,  6 School of Journalism,  24 Bachelor of Science in Education and Practical Arts,  337 Teachers' College Diplomas,  465 Master of Arts in Education,  226 College of Pharmacy,  18 Master of Arts,  395 Doctor of Philosophy,  89 Honorary Degrees,  6 Total,  2195
