H. L. Carroll 1917 has been elected captain of the Michigan track team for next year. He won third place in the mile at the I. C. A. A. A. A. meet at Philadelphia last year, and this year in the Stadium finished second to L. V. Windangle, of Cornell, his time being 4 minutes, 16 2-5 seconds.
