FLYING CORPS PLANS SCHOOL

ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE IF TWENTY MEN WILL ENLIST.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University Flying Corps will have a summer training school, provided twenty men sign an agreement to spend two-months, between July 1 and September 15, at such a camp, and will deposit $50 as a guarantee of good faith. This deposit will be returned as soon as the pupil has passed his pilot's license test.

The plans were outlined by Roger Amory '10 at a meeting held last night. He said that with at least twenty men seriously interested, he could practically guarantee that the money requisite for their tuition would be forthcoming.

The instruction will be at some already established and successful flying school probably on Long Island.

In return for the time spent the men will receive $400 worth of flying instruction, and further, will be doing more to aid preparedness than could be done in any other branch of the service. Lord Kitchener, England's Minister of War, in a telegram sent to Canadian flyers in training at Newport News, said, "One flyer is worth an army corps."

The Flying Corps Headquarters at 1280 Massachusetts avenue will be open today to receive enrolments between 10 o'clock and 5 o'clock. Men who wish to join the school should sign up at once, in order that the graduate committee may know how many to provide for.
