There will be two new courses on South American geography during the first half of next year, given by Dr. Walter S. Tower '03, Professor of Geography in the University of Chicago. One will be on the general geography of South America, and the other on economic and industrial geography.
The courses are planned for the needs of those who have a general interest in South American countries, or who are students of its history, or who are looking for a thorough training preparatory to entering business.
The field will be covered in the spirit characteristic of modern scientific work of its kind, and will take up the effects of the physical factors which have so largely controlled the settlement and industrial life of the continent.
Definite announcement of the hours of the courses will be given soon. Further information on the courses may be obtained by addressing Professor W. W. Atwood at the University Museum.
