The three University crews held a practice race yesterday afternoon from the Union Boat Club to the Cottage Farm Bridge. University A had no trouble in finishing a length of open water ahead of University B, and University B finished two lengths ahead of University C. All three crews were rowing in excellent form, but the first crew showed itself much superior to the other two. The Board of Overseers of the University attended the race on the coaching launches.

Today the second Freshman eight will race the Exeter crew at Exeter. The race, which will be over the half-mile course, will take place at 4 o'clock. The Freshmen will leave from the North Station at 1.15 o'clock. Following is the order of the crew: Stroke, W. C. Chanler; 7, J. H. P. Howard; 6, C. Canfield; 5, R. C. Strawbridge, Jr., 4, J. S. Coleman; 3, C. W. Greenough; 2, E. S. Brewer; bow, R. Cobb; cox, D. H. Read. Managers A. F. Tribble '19 and W. B. Bacon '19 will accompany the men on the trip.
