Second Crew Defeated Third

In the practice of the University crews yesterday afternoon the second and third University eights raced over the mile course, and the new order of the second crew proved successful, for it came it three-fourths of a length ahead of the third boat. The race was a close one but the second crew showed a much more powerful drive than its opponents.
