To the seven hundred athletes who come from colleges scattered over the country from the Pacific to the Atlantic, Harvard extends the heartiest reception. Present conditions have caused the track to become the largest and most representative meeting ground for the students of all colleges. In no other sport or academic activity do so many men from different colleges gather to compete in general games. For this reason it is a great privilege for Harvard to receive these athletes as her guests.

The entries from our own track team who compete in this afternoon's meet can be assured of the University's confidence and vigorous support from the tiers of the Stadium.
