FINAL LACROSSE GAME TODAY

Crimson Players Meet Yale Aggregation After Track Meet.--Visitors Have Strong Team.

Yale will meet the University lacrosse team this afternoon in a game played at Soldiers Field directly following the track meet. The contest, which promises to be a lively affair, will be the final game of the season for both teams. The game will have no bearing on the championship of the northern division of the intercollegiate lacrosse league, however. That has been clinched by Cornell, which beat Yale last Monday 5 to 1, and defeated the University the Saturday before by the score of 5 to 2.

After this last match with Yale the Cornell coach stated his opinion of the organization which will play the University today.

"Yale has the making of the best team we have come up against this year," he said. "The men are all fast, their stickwork is good, and they have the necessary weight. With proper coaching, a championship team should be turned out next year. As to the Harvard game, if you can keep Nash, Harvard's first attack, covered, you should have no trouble in defeating them, although they are sure to put up a good fight."

There are only two men on the Yale team at present who did not play on the team last year.

The teams will line up as follows: HARVARD.  YALE. Crowe, g.  g., Levy O'Neil, p.  p., Sayre Birch, Black, c.p.  c.p., Spencer Sullivan, 1d.  1d., Osgood Beal, 2d.  2d., Roberts Miller, 3d.  3d., Bennett Freer, Roberts, c.  c., Lambert Dampman, 3a.  3a., Hatch Flu, Snow, 2a.  2a., Manning Nash, 1a.  1a., Blum Franzen, Shaughnessy, i.h.  i.h., Nevitt Hebb, McLane, o.h.  o.h., Phillips
