The Regiment will constitute the third division of the preparedness parade in Boston tomorrow afternoon. The first two divisions will be made up of members of Congress, Governor's Council, Massachusetts Legislature; and military order of the Loyal Legion, under Major Henry L. Higginson. There will be 39 divisions in all, made up of representatives of various professions, trades, educational institutions, leagues, and societies. More than 60,000 persons have signed up to march. Many members of the University not in the Regiment will march with other organizations.
The parade will start at Arlington and Beacon Streets at 1 o'clock, proceeding down Beacon street and passing in front of the State House, where it will be reviewed by Major-General Leonard Wood, M.D. '84, and Governor McCall. The route from here on leads through Beacon, School, Washington, State, Broad, High, Lincoln, Kneeland, and Eliot streets, Columbus avenue and Berkeley street. Mayor Curley and guests will have a reviewing stand in front of the City Hall, on School street.
The Regiment will parade in column of platoons, as this is the formation which will be adopted by all divisions. Company drill this week has been devoted in part to marching in this formation.
The Henshaw Motor Company of Boston has provided 125 Dodge automobiles to transport the Regiment to its place in the line, and to bring it back to Cambridge in time for the Intercollegiates when the parade is over.
