MILITARY ENTHUSIASTS MEET

The initial event of the University Preparedness Week will be held tonight when a mass meeting will be called to order in the Living Room of the Union at 7.15 o'clock. Major H. L. Higginson '55 will preside and P. D. Haughton '99, J. W. Farley '99, Commander Frank T. Evans, Professor W. E. Hocking '01, and Captain Cordier will each make short speeches.

The purpose of this mass meeting, as well as the entire week, is to interest men to join either the Plattsburg camp or the naval training cruise. The Flying Corps Headquarters will be open both day and night, where information regarding the cruise may be obtained. Applicants for the naval cruise will be obliged to go to 146 Tremont street, Boston, on any week day from 10 until 4 o'clock, in order to enroll and take the usual preliminary physical examination. This test will not be rigorous and any man with reasonably good health should be able to pass. Those with bad eyes will be acceptable, providing they have the proper glasses.

The preparedness parade to be held in Boston tomorrow and the final manoeuvres of the Regiment to be held next Tuesday morning will both add to the stimulating of interest among the undergraduates. The committee hopes that 700 men may be induced to go to Plattsburg this summer. More than 300 men have already signed up.
