Distinguished Soldier to Speak on Present War

Mr. Edward C. Carter '00, who is to conduct prayers in Appleton Chapel this morning, will speak in the Assembly Room of the Union tomorrow evening at 8 o'clock on the work in the army "huts" in Europe, Asia, and Africa. King George of England has recently decorated him with the Kaisar-i-hind medal for his distinguished service with the Indian troops, among whom he has been working for over a year and a half.

His story of conditions in the prison camps and on the battlefronts is extremely thrilling and dramatic.
