The racing yesterday afternoon in the Second Annual Harvard Invitation Regatta was markedly successful. Six events were run off during the day. The closest contest of the afternoon was that between A. Lippitt '19 and C. D. Murray '19 in the Novice singles, which the latter won by the small margin of one foot. N. P. Darling '17 won the Carroll Cup, easily defeating all his opponents. In the wherry race E. Holt '18 was in the lead, but got cramps about 100 yards before the finish, just managing to creep over second, four lengths behind N. L. Harris '19, the winner. The summary of the day follows.

Today's events will be as follows: Senior Singles. A supper and reception for all entrants in the Regatta will be given in the Weld boathouse at 6.15 o'clock. The prizes will be given out at this time. The Cornell oarsmen arrive this morning and will have preliminary work on the river in preparation for the race tomorrow.
