The University handicap track meet and the Freshman interdormitory meet, scheduled for yesterday, were postponed on account of rain, and will be held at Soldiers Field this afternoon at 4 o'clock. The program will consist of twenty events: ten handicap and ten interdormitory, including all field events, both hurdles, 880-yard run and two-mile run. The other events will be run off tomorrow.
The first three place winners in each handicap event will receive medals. Only men who have taken strength tests will be allowed to participate in either meet, but failure to sign up in blue-books will not keep men from competing. Entries may be made at the field, and handicaps will also be given at this time.
The interdormitory meet will be open to all Freshmen having taken strength tests, with the exception of members of the 1919 track team who won their numerals at New Haven. All members of the Freshman class not living in any one of the three dormitories will compete in the meet as representing Standish Hall.
The following is the schedule of events: 4 o'clock, 120-yard hurdles (dormitory heats); 4.05 o'clock, 120-yard hurdles (handicap heats); 4.15 o'clock, 880-yard run (dormitory); 4.20 o'clock, 880-yard run (handicap); 4.30 o'clock, 120-yard hurdles (dormitory final); 4.35 o'clock, 120-yard hurdles (handicap final); 4.45 o'clock, two-mile run (dormitory); 5.00 o'clock, two-mile run (handicap); 5.15 o'clock, 220-yard hurdles (dormitory); 5.20 o'clock, 220-yard hurdles (handicap).
Both the dormitory and handicap field events will be held at the same time as follows: 4 o'clock, high-jump and shotput; 4.30 o'clock, broad-jump, pole-vault, and hammer-throw.
