Appreciation of Mr. Clark.

To the Editors of the CRIMSON:

In Monday's editorial, on the subject of Track, the author suggests that "perhaps a coach less hampered by other duties than Mr. Clark would assist the men more in their development." From early autumn, Mr. Clark has practically never failed to be on hand, whenever a single candidate has been willing to report.

I am not discussing the benefit and pleasure that the fellows have gained from Mr. Clark's advice and encouragement; I do feel it only just to protest against the slight, but none the less utterly unjust criticism of a man who has constantly sacrificed his own interests for the benefit of Harvard track interests.
