The 1919 baseball team defeated Milton Academy, 3 to 1, at Milton, yesterday afternoon. The victory was due, in the main, to superior batting by the Freshmen, who found Tisdale for eight hits, in spite of the latter's exceptional performance of 17 strike-outs. Leighton pitched for the Freshmen, and disposed of nine of the Milton batters who faced him, maintaining a steady average throughout the game. For the Freshmen, Kerr did particularly well, securing three hits out of three times at bat, and scoring two runs. For Milton, Tisdale was conspicuous for his performance in the box.
