In a practice game yesterday Team A of the University baseball squad defeated Team B in five innings by a score of 2 to 0. The fielding for the most part was excellent, Murray of Team B robbing Abbot of a sure hit by a remarkable one-hand catch. Only five hits were got during the game, A getting two off Whitney and B three off Mahan.

A started the scoring in the first inning when Wyche reached first on Wiswall's error, took second on Coolidge's sacrifice, and scored on Ames' muff of Abbot's fly. In the second inning, A got its other run when Fripp singled and took second on Whitney's error of Reed's hit. When Bothfeld missed Mahan's grounder Fripp scored.

Team B of the Freshman squad won a five-inning practice game from Team A by bunching three runs in the first and three runs in the second inning.
