Many Applications and Theses Due on Monday

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Next Monday will be the last day for receiving manuscripts for a number of different prize essay contests. Theses for the Susan Anthony Potter prizes in Comparative Literature are due. Dissertations for the Dante, Sargent, Toppan, Sumner, and Bennett prizes must also be handed in.

All candidates for the degree of Ph.D. in 1916, except in the Divisions of Ancient Languages, of Modern Languages, and of History, Government, and Economics must hand in their theses by Monday night. Monday is also the last day for receiving applications of candidates for the degree of M.D. or the degree of D.M.D. in 1916. The same date will also be the last for undergraduates and for graduate students to hand in their Commencement parts, the last date for receiving applications for the Bullard Fellowship and the Moseley Travelling Fellowships, and the last date for receiving applications for Medical School Scholarships for 1916-17 (except the Cheever, Hawen, and Hayden Scholarships).

Addison Brown Prize Essay.

Essays are also due for the new Addison Brown prize of $100, offered by the late judge of the District Court for the Southern District of New York. The contest is open to any student in regular standing in the Law School in 1915-16. The prize will be awarded the best essay on a subject of "Maritime or Private International Law." Students competing should deliver their manuscripts, typewritten, to the office of the Secretary of the School. The awarding of the prize may be withheld if the judges consider no dissertation to be worthy of it. A copy of the winning essay will be printed in the Law Review and another put on file in the Law Library.
